Her connection to the water is not just political; it is a way of life.

Governor Greg Abbott is running for a fourth term and faces the Democrat nominee in November.
Congresswoman Monica De La Cruz is running for re-election to the U.S. House for the 15th District of Texas.
State Senator Mayes Middleton of Galveston won the Republican nomination for Attorney General, the race to succeed Ken Paxton, and faces the Democrat nominee in November.
Bo French of Fort Worth won the Republican nomination for Railroad Commissioner in the May 2026 runoff after two years leading the Tarrant County GOP.
Sergio Sanchez, a McAllen defense attorney and former felony prosecutor, carries the Republican banner for Texas House District 41.
Chairman Todd Hunter represents House District 32, which includes Aransas County, and is running for re-election.
Capt. Matthew Lynch is running unopposed; the November vote assigns him to the seat.
